Tax Return Preparation

MTBS prepares a wide variety of individual and estate tax returns. Our services include initial tax consultation, return preparation, electronic submission, and final delivery. We also assist with the resolution and defense of any errors or omissions on your return subsequent to filing. All customers will receive a copy of the return, consultation, and simple tax planning for your family upon delivery.

Our team specializes in helping individuals who have small businesses, rental properties, asset sales, inheritances, retirement distributions, or individuals who need one-on-one advice on how best to maximize income and avoid income taxes annually.

Advanced Tax Consultation

In addition to preparing tax returns, we consult with our clients to develop strategies to limit their tax liability now, in the near term, and in the long run. Part of our process is to learn your goals and objectives financially, personally, and professionally. We then tailor our advice to align with those goals and the financial state of your household. Many clients are dissatisfied with their return preparer because they do not provide any follow on instructions once receiving a return. At MTBS, we love giving advice and we push our clients to follow it!

Retirement Planning

While tax savings and compliance are critical to our clients, the question of where to place these resources and how to access them often comes up. MTBS partners with licensed financial services representatives to ensure that the retirement strategies we propose can be executed properly. We also will give our advice on retirement products and their taxability that attorneys, financial advisors, and lenders may propose.
